I can't believe how quickly February came and went! It's the 2nd of March already, and I'm nearly at the end of the second year of my degree...time really does fly. February was a bit of a mixed bag for me, but overall it was pretty good and full of lots of nice things. So I've rounded up my favourites from the past month to share with you guys. Hope you enjoy!

Burgundy Floral Embroidered Leather-Look Skirt

Now I'm not normally one for skirts...or embroidery...or floral...but there was just something about this skirt that I couldn't ignore. The colour for a start is absolutely gorgeous, burgundy is one of my favourite colours when it comes to clothing, so that's probably what caught my eye to begin with. As for the embroidered flowers, I was quite surprised to find that I actually liked them. They added something to the skirt without being too much or in-your-face, they were delicate and symmetrical, and just seemed to work. Now one of the reasons I never normally wear skirts (unless their maxi, or maybe even a midi) is that my legs are so long that most skirts tend to come up a *tad* on the short side, to say the least. So I was quite surprised to find that this skirt actually worked for me, and was a decent length that let me show off my legs but keep myself covered enough that I felt confident to leave the house. Oh and the best part about this skirt? It has pockets~

You Were Born To Sparkle Makeup Bag

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how pretty this is please?! I got this from a friend as a gift and couldn't stop staring at it every time I went past it. It's got such a chic design and looks oh-so-lovely sitting on my dressing table. I love the clean colour and the sparkly writing...I'm a sucker for sparkles...but the thing I love the most about this makeup bag is that it's huge! I've got an ever-growing collection of makeup and never enough storage for it (anyone else relate?) so having a makeup bag this big really comes in handy. I usually end up running out of room in my makeup bags and then having to either throw some makeup away (gasp) or go shopping for a bigger and better storage solution, but with the size of this one I think I'll be set for a while. Excuse for a makeup related shopping spree? The only downside is that it's a creamy-white colour and I'm terrified of having a dark-makeup-related disaster which will ruin it forever...

Unfortunately, this makeup bag doesn't seem to be on sale anymore,
but it's still worth checking out Next's range of makeup bags.

Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara - Waterproof, Black

I've been a Bourjois fan ever since I bought one of their Little Round Pot eyeshadows, which was a sparkly nude dream. I saw this mascara advertised and ran out to grab one as the mascara I was using at the time wasn't giving me the lift I was after, but I didn't have to worry about that with this one. It lengthens and separates lashes, leaving them looking gorgeous and not overdone. One dip of the wand into the formula is enough to give both my eyes a quick lift in the mornings, perfect for when I'm running a little late. I'm often a little sceptical when it comes to waterproof mascara, as I'm always wondering 'how waterproof can a bit of makeup be?', but this one really delivered (trust me, I had a torrential downpour on the way home test that for me... no panda eyes here!). While this is great for watching moving films or discovering your partner has eaten the last chocolate bar, it can be a little bit of a problem when you actually want the mascara to come off...but I find a generous dose of micellar water copes quite well. The tube has a 3x magnification mirror on the side, which is great if you're applying your makeup on the go (or you know, don't want to get out of bed on cold mornings). The only downside is the triangular prism shape of the wand handle, which makes it a bit difficult to hold while applying.

Baylis and Harding Limited Edition Pink Prosecco and Cassis Fragrance Set

I got this beautiful gift set as a Valentine's present from my boyfriend, and I'm absolutely in love with it. First of all, the box is absolutely gorgeous, a giant pink heart with rose gold prosecco bubbles on top and a silky pink bow to tie it all together. The set contains a 300ml shower creme, 300ml body lotion, 130ml body wash, 100ml body butter and some bath soak crystals. The products themselves smell lovely, a romantic floral scent that adds a sense of luxury and pampering to your bath or shower. The shower cream lathers up well and leaves your skin feeling soft and delicate, while the body lotion and body butter help to lock in that much needed moisture for your skin, leaving a sublte floral scent that lasts for hours. The boyfriend definitely did well on this one, and I'd recommend the set to anyone looking to spoil and pamper themselves before the limited edition set disappears from the shelves. It's a gorgeous set that contains prosecco, what could be better? (Apart from an actual glass of prosecco to have while you bathe,,,)

Soap and Glory The Scrub of Your Life

I don't know how I managed without this little beauty from Soap and Glory. I've always had dry skin, and body scrubs tend to leave my skin even worse when I hop out the shower, but this one is a total game changer. Not only does it buff up my skin while I'm using it, but it leaves my skin feeling moisturised and smooth for the rest of the day, unlike scrubs I've used in the past where I'd have to cover myself in a whole tub of body butter afterwards. It lathers up quite well too, which I wasn't really expecting from a body scrub, so that was another pleasant surprise. The scrub smells amazing, slightly fruity with a woody undertone, and the scent is long-lasting to keep you smelling fresh and beautiful all morning. I'd definitely recommend this one to anyone who gets dry skin like me, and wants a scrub that not only works but smells great too. As it says on the packaging, all you need is scrub.
